After the inception of Church of South India, the institution has become the first and the only Technical education wing catering for the needs of the Diocese and others. The aspirations of our Bishop Rt.Rev.Dr.M.Joseph to elevate in into Engineering education has set the seed for future with the untiring efforts of the present correspondent Mr.G.Antony whose revitalizing role has made the institution to survive form serious set backs. Now it has reached a state of sustainability and self dependence with many new trades to its existing list. Novel and modern trade skill training will meet the global demands.

Social Concern:

Exposure to varieties of programmes in the school not only provides experience but enhances their attitude and awareness like AIDS/HIV Awareness, Blood Donation camphaign, Tree Plantation, Road Safety, Free Medical Camp, Village camps for rural youth in vocational skill development suitable for village Technologies, are some of the programmes conducted under informal education. ”Earn while you learn” scheme helps those students in need  when their department gets opportunities to work outside. CSI institutions utilize the job skills of the Trade School for many of their requirements on “Pay back plan”.

Women Concern:

Not for boys alone, but the neglected rural women are given free out  reach short term skill training to get immediate employment or self employment. The SKIP funds towards women development was harnessed for the Training of these women, under the guidance and the leadership of Our Bishop Amma Mrs.Leela Manohari Joseph, the President of Women’s Fellowship, Diocese of Madurai – Ramnad.


The pointer of interest for our future activities will continue to enhance unerringly in the
Direction of sustainability. As the complexity of life increases, the problems of survival,
Sustenance and growth become amenable to more and more skilled solutions. Thus, the strategy weat PTS will follow to move towards our guiding star is to teach appropriate and sustainable skills. This is the moral which we are trying to learn again and again, so that we find new and meaningful ways of meeting our deepest purpose.


The human need for respectable living whirls around the job and earning skill of an individual. Any job skill especially semi skilled helps a school drop out or a Rural youth to find a suitable job non competitively because of the demands created by Globalization. Pasumalai Trade School provides such potential for those who are not in the main stream.
